This registration of ownership will enable owners and the authority to track the owner of stolen laptops.

This is important especially to reduce computer theft as previously, people would not be able to distinguish their computers to others when they are stolen and resold to unsuspecting buyers. With this system laptop crime will be more risky to the thieves.
